What division do I need to select?
At Morehead City Little League we offer a variety of Spring baseball programs to accommodate youth players ages 3-13. Our Program Descriptions can be found here.
When does the season start?
Our Spring season begins with assessments for players in Rookie, Minor and Major divisions on February 6th and 13th. Opening ceremonies is scheduled for March 19th, which marks the official start of the season. The season normally runs until the first week of June.
For Fall baseball our season usually begins the second week of September through the first week of November.
When should I hear from my child's coach.
Depending on the division your child is participating in, after teams are assembled you should hear from your coach about your first practice based on the following dates by division:
Major: The week after February 13th
Minor: The week after February 20th
Rookie, Jr Rookie and T-Ball: The week after February 27th
*Jr. Rookie and T-Ball registration runs longer so players may be added and teams not fully formed by the date initially indicated
I volunteered, why am I being charged a fee?
Morehead City Little League is a volunteer based organization that relies heavily on help from all of our volunteers. The fee we collect is used to pay for umpires and necessary equipment. If you volunteered to help in the concession stand, you will be refunded your fee at the end of the season after working at least one game in the concession stand. If you are coaching, you will be refunded your fee after completing the JDP application and once we have formed teams.
*Note If you volunteered please be on the lookout for an email from Morehead City Little League that will have a link to fill out a JDP background check. This is required by Little League International. The link expires 7 days after it is sent.
